Art Nouveau Cabinet

This is a Cherry Brook Woodworks design loosely influenced by Art Nouveau furniture. When Pete builds furniture for clients, everything is very carefully planned out through drawings, often times studying the drawing, making slight changes to dimensions and making sure everything is proportional. A good deal of time and energy goes into pieces before the cutting of wood even starts. This piece, however, was different. Pete had a rough overall size of what he wanted the final piece to be, but had no other plans. He made it by eye and used oil paint for the butterfly and flower.
