This Federal Plant Stand is a rare form in American federal furniture. Reproduced from a photo in American Furniture, The Federal Period by Charles Montgomery, the plant stand is made entirely from Cuban mahogany. The top edges of the flower boxes and the legs have a reeded profile. The client has plans to line the boxes with copper. This piece resides in Atlanta, GA.
