Peter Aleksa – Fine Furniture Maker | Custom Handmade Furniture & Antique Restoration
Peter Aleksas’ journey into fine furniture making began in his teenage years, working in his parents’ basement with inherited tools and a growing passion for building by hand. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, he pursued formal training at a two-year furniture-making program in Boston, where he refined both technical skill and design sensibility.
Following graduation, Peter apprenticed under a German-trained master craftsman. This experience shaped his approach to woodworking — rooted in traditional European techniques, precise joinery, thoughtful proportions, and the creation of heirloom-quality furniture designed to last for generations.
Today, Peter works from a custom-built workshop on his property, specializing in custom handmade furniture, one-of-a-kind designs, and antique furniture restoration. His work has been commissioned by homeowners, interior designers, and architects, with pieces shipped to clients across the country.
Whether creating bespoke furniture or restoring historic pieces, Peter combines craftsmanship, durability, and timeless design in every project.
