Chippendale Block Front Chest of Drawers in mahogany, with a molded top matching the contour of the base with four graduated drawers on ball and claw feet. Boston, Massachusetts circa 1770. The top, as well as the case sides on this piece, are from one wide mahogany board. The drawers fronts, also from a thick board, have a unique grain pattern which accentuates the blocking.
