This is a reproduction of a Newport tall case clock with a blocked front. The movement and dial plate were specified by the client. The dimensions of the dial plate set the scale and proportion for the entire clock. The clock is made from mahogany with a nice cathedral grain pattern on the blocking which accentuates the height of the clock. This piece is based on a photograph of an original Newport clock but the shell was changed slightly.
