Art Nouveau Cabinet
This is my own design loosely influenced by Art Nouveau furniture.
When I typically build furniture for clients, everything is very carefully planned out through drawings. Often times studying the drawing, making slight changes to dimensions, making sure everything is proportional. There is quite a bit of time and energy that goes into pieces before I even start to cut wood. This piece was the total opposite. I had an overall size, roughly, of what I wanted the final piece to be and had NO other plans. I just made it by eye. I used oil paint to paint the butterfly and flower.
