Featured are two examples of the Salem Shield Back Chair. The red chair was built for Pete’s family. The yellow chair was a custom commission interpreted directly from Hepplewhite’s Guide. The punched background around the hand-carved cluster of oak leaves, the serpentine front seat rail, and holly and satinwood inlay on the tapered front legs add to the overall beauty and grace of this chair.
